- The corner tooled saddle has a portion of the tooling pattern
on the swell cover, the front and rear jockeys, the seat jockey and the
fender. On the Wade and the Guthrie, it is also on the rear skirt.
- The half tooled saddle has a full tooled skirt, rear jockey an
swell cover.
- The 3/4 tooled saddle is the same as the half breed style but
also includes a part tooling pattern on the fender and on the front and
rear jockey.
- The full tooled saddle is of course full tooled with the
exception of the seat area.
- Half breed - this terminology refers to a saddle that is half
smooth-out and half rough-out regardless of the tooling.
